GROUP CLASSES: We offer a variety of people-training group classes for dogs throughout the year. Foundation obedience, agility, and horn hunting are a few of the classes we have. We work with all levels of experience.
Most group classes are 4 week sessions. We meet once a week for about an hour at the facility in Augusta, MT. You will get the tools for your toolbox to train at home. You will get a workbook on the first night of class and you will be emailed homework visual after each class to help you remember what to work on each week.
Classes are limited in number of dog/person teams allowed. Pre-registration is required. After reviewing registration papers, teams may be moved to another class based on trainer’s discretion. Children 13 years old and younger may attend with a parent, with the parent as the handler of the dog at all times. Once you have signed up for a class through Prairie, please download and complete the registration form and return it before the first night of class.
ONE on ONE‘s are great ways to work with the instructor on specific behaviors or concerns without distractions from other dogs or people. We work on modifying behaviors such as barking, chewing, digging, etc. These meetings are also great for individual attention on learning new behaviors. Once you have signed up for a one-on-one meeting through Prairie, please download and complete the registration form.
The first meeting is about 1 hour and 15 minutes long, giving time to review paperwork and answer questions. Follow-up appointments are not usually as long because we have established knowledge about each other and your dog. The cost is $100 for each visit.

For private consultations in your home environment, each meeting is 1 to 1.5 hours long. This is an option if you are not located in the Augusta area and would like us to travel to you. It is also a great option for you needing to work on very specific issues, that may only happen at your home. If you need to prepare your dog to be left home alone for an extended period of time, digging in your yard, barking, etc. If you have a new puppy or a new-to-you dog, this is a great option to help you get set up successfully for both you and your canine.
The cost is $150 per visit. We are willing to travel within 60 miles of Augusta.
